Question about Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens
My Nikon D40 18-55mm lens automatic focus does not work. I fitted a UV filter And now it won't automatically focus and the camera won't take a photograph when the lens is in "A" setting on the lens. The camera still works when the lens is in "M" setting.
This problem persists now even with the UV filter removed.
THERE is a problem in lens not with the UV filter
remove the lens clean the contact of lens & camera if not working repair or replace it
