Having problems fixing the color, sharpness, ect....

We just can't seem to get the color right. I was wondering if there is a certain way to do it. The model number is FP5240 W104. I don't know if that will help you or not.

Have you checked the coolant on each CRT? If it becomes cloudy on one or more of the CRTs you will not be able to get a good color adjustment.

The tv seems to be glowing, especially all the bright colors. Have adjusted brightness, sharpness, color and so forth and nothing seems to fix it. What can I do?

Your problem is the fluid in the 3 picture tubes needs to be replaced. All the older projection sets used this type of cooling for the tubes. After time and usage the fluid becomes contaminated and starts to turn brown and light cannot get through the crud and therefore you wind up with a dull picture. I recommend having a service company do this procedure. It is very detrimental to the printed circuit boards and components if you would spill and on them. Most shops charge around $250.00 to replace the fluid.

see if there is a "default" option, if not set everything back to the middle, if the colors are still off you sure its not the convergence?
most big screens allow you to change "color temperature" it's like a default adjustment for 3 different brightness levels.... ie...COOL, WARM picture will show obvious changes in brightness

Picture seems to be losing its sharpness and colors bleed

most likely scenario is that the coolant in the CRTs need replacement very common problem with phillips magnavox TVs, The picture will get hard to focus and the color will lose its intensity. You can get a coolant replacement kit for phillips at the following link under the repair kit category. The kit contains all the coolant needed and a CD with step by step instructions on how to do the repair. Heres the link.

LC-32SB24U (sharp lcd tv) remote control just stopped working. Yes, I checked the batteries and replaced them. I'm wondering if the Remote Control Sensor light should be on the TV? There is no light...

I actually was having the same problem and just fixed this. I just unplugged the tv from the back for about a minute and then plugged it back in and it worked fine, so give that a try.
