The LX6200-01 has AMD's 2.2GHz Phenom X4 9500. Any motherboard that can support the Phenom X4 chipset should do.
Biostar TA790GXB is one in particular.

I need a motherboard for gateway NV55S07U. AMD Quad A6-3400M procewssor

fix laptops for a living, at the cost of ordering and replacing, your better off replacing the entire thing or seeing how much gateway will charge. Best cost I can get is $179 and Id charge at least $100 to put it in...thats 300 after tax, and those new with maxed out memory are going for 500 bucks

A Gateway motherboard

It's a tough problem to overcome. Gateway/Dell etc have support that you can contact or send it parts for a replacement. The downside is these parts are typically only replaceable through them. I had a Dell machine way back and wanted to purchase new RAM and a video card. They wanted to charge my an obscene amount for the new memory and the model I had would not support a newer video card. I ended up breaking away and venturing out on my own. I purchased a custom-built (by me) rig and haven't had any problems so far.
The upside to running with the "premades" is that they have good support and return policies, but doing stuff on your own (like replacing a motherboard) would probably violate the user agreement (meaning they won't warranty any work) and you'd be stuck.
Venturing out on your own is tough if you're not familiar with PCs. Vendors are usually pretty good about their return policies.

In your case, if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, stick with Gateway. I would suggest then trying to see if you can "upgrade" your model PC to another and see if you have better luck.

Gateway GT4010 Problem

This problem is video chip related. I have done alot of research on this and found that everyone has the same problem in some form or another. Your best bet is to junk the pc and get a different one, since the motherboard in the pc and the replacements you can get are all prone to the same failure. The best home remedy I have found is a hair dryer on the video chipset as mentioned in one of the above "fixes". Seems to work for a while, not permanent. You may need to repeat if your system goes down again. Also, when your system powers up and your screen looks more green than usual or different than it used to, just apply more heat and pressure. On another note, if anyone has a replacement for this case, GT4010, from a different manufacturer, please let me know. Hope this helps.
