Possibly a bad starter, check and see if you can turn the engine by hand after you remove the spark plugs( dont want it to accidently start). if it does try a straight cable+ side to the starter terminal. if it turns then you may have a bad solenoid.

I was mowing I have a cub cadet series 1000 was running fine all the sudden shut down and will not start acts like it has no connection. Battery is new, but still cleaned terminals. Turn key nothing

Make sure your new battery is charged up first. New batteries will die sometimes. Make sure your cables are tight and clean and your starter could be at fault if all that work it won't turn over. Make sure your engine is not seized as well.

Cub Cadet ZTR will not start

Is the blade engagement off? If that is ok, does the solenoid even click when you put the key to start position? If the solenoid doesn't even click check the battery connections and make sure they are good and clean. If the connections are good, are you sure the new battery is fully charged. If the battery sat around for a long time in the store it could need charged. If all that is good and then you don't get the starter solenoid to click when you put the key in start position, then it is either the seat switch, parking brake switch, handle switches, or mower engage switch keeping it from starting. If all that is ok maybe you have a bad starter solenoid. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

I have a 1999 cub 2135 with a kohler engine. the mower deck wont kick in . i ran a hot wire to the pto & it worked .do i have to replace the switch or the module. i also checked the seat switch &...

IF connecting that one hot wire to the pto made it engage then you either have a broken/cut/bad connection/wire to the pto or the switch is bad.
What you did by using the hotwire to the pto is bypass all the wiring and the switch for the pto.
You can determine if it's the switch real quick if it only has two connections/wires to the switch. Pull the switch, remove the wires and touch them together, after you have the mower in the condition under which the pto would engage. If the pto engages it's the switch for sure.
Take all the proper safety precautions. Don't let the wires touch anything else.

Cub cadet 2135 wont start

check for a fuse behind the ignition
it might be blown
then i would check the starter solenoid
if you put a screwdriver accross the bolts that hold the wire from the starter and ignition switch and it tries to start there's ur problem.

My Cub Cadet 2135 PTO won't engage.

these mowers are riddled with safety switches. i would lean toward one of them malfunctioning. is the battery charged up? a weak battery will not engage the electro magnet.
