Well it was working pretty well but all of a sudden it won't brew. Steamer seems to be working fine. I think it doesn't sound as loud as it has in the past although the steamers seems to be working fine. I did take the screws off the portafilter to make sure that wasn't the problem but that seems fine. When I place coffee or nothing in the portafilter, nothing comes out which makes me think the motor or whatever it is isns't running as strong as before. Any ideas? I have had the machine for at least 4 years if not a few more.

HI Open the door and remove the dredge drawer, then the brew unit. Slide the brew unit back in , then push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. Close the door and push the dredge drawer back in with 1 finger on the right side of the dredge drawer. See if that worked. If it did, then loosen the nut behind the coffee dispenser to release tension on the brew group, then tighten again. Lube the receiver tip on the brew unit.
I posted response and solution to similar issue see post below and comments :
YOU NEED TO LET MACHINE COOL OFF AFTER YOU TURN IT OFF OUCH!!
You can release pressure placing a cup under steam wand open slowly and
partially while machine is OFF and let hiss out slowly. Then open cup
slowly if you have to force it open DON'T. That PUCK sound can make you
afraid of your machine can't it. I wont admit I haven't done that four or five times.

have a Saeco Classico that worked very well when we first got the
machine. Now the coffee is bitter and there is no crema in the shot at
all. We tried changing grinds and tamping, nothing seems to work. Can
you help? Thanks so much. We miss our morning coffee :-)
Hi You need to switch Steam ON so it heats up and then turn Steam button OFF (no light) and then turn steamer knob counter clockwise you will hear the pump start up and then water will stream out. This is when it's primed. Turn steamer clock wise to close. You must do this everytime you use the steamer.
OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.
We had another problem like this just this week.
The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant
Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.
Sounds like there is something wrong with the machine. Could be the thermostats or maybe something like an internal leak that is causing the machine to overheat. It sounds to me like you need someone to take a look at it..
We service saeco espresso machine and are stationed out of New York..
