What concerns me is why do you need a digital board, which cost around $150 or so. I just repaired a rx-v620 that needed the volume and mode crols replaced. These controls affected mant aspects of the digital circuits opperation. Your 420 could have a similar fate. What is it doing?

Yamaha home theatre system RXV 350 amplifier

Check it without speaker connection. If the set does not go to protection mode, check all the speakers by connecting one by one at a time and switch the set ON; to find the faulty speaker. If the set goes to protection mode even no speaker connected, check and replace damaged components at its audio output section circuit. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Circuit boards

Due to the nature of the board connections and design; you need to use the exact replacement made for your model. Yamaha made the original and any other clone (if available) may not function properly. You could end up wasting your money. Either get the Yamaha replacement, or look for a used model in eBay or the internet. Other than that, use the $477 as a down payment on a new system.

Speakers not playing

The problem can be the cable or speakers or RX-V463 or settings. Need to check one by one.
Set the RX-V on DTS or Dolby Digital
1) Check Cables - connect the 2 (surround) cables from RXV's Centre Out to Centre speaker. If the Centre speaker works, then cables are ok.
2) Check speakers - Connect each Surround speaker to RXV's Centre out. If it works Speakers are ok.
3) Check RXV - Set it on DTS or Dolby Digital
Connect RXV's surround out (one at a time) L and R to the Centre speaker. If there is no sound, the problem could be RXV's settings (I need to read the manual).

Hope this helps.

Just bought a used yamaha receiver model RXv793 do not know how to hook it up.

First do not panic by seeing all sockets in the back side of the receiver. You can connect 5 speakers and one subwoofer on the speaker A switch and maybe a second pair of stereo speakers on the B switch. All the speaker sockets have red and black terminals, so do all speakers. Just get decent cables ( You can buy a whole connection Kit if you want ) and connect the corresponding outlets to you speakers. If you have a powered subwoofer connect the subwoofer input to a socket labeled Subwoofer pre out on the RXV. You will need a RCA to RCA cable for that Next you will need a coaxial or Optic fiber cable to connect a DVD player digitally. The back of the DVD player will have a socket marked coaxial out, and so does the RXV's backside. Just link them .
Turn on the system everything should work. If you are not getting DVD sound there is small button on the RXV front panel called Digital input -- set it to auto ( keep pressing the button and it will scroll through various modes). Also remember to switch on speaker A on the front panel.

My yamaha rxv 1700 7.1 ch amplifier with defenite speakers shuts of at 40% of volume it gives a the option check the wiring how to solve this problem

Open the unit and inspect for cold solder connections. Use a non-conductive tool to poke the circuit board for the bad connection. Please keep in mind that when you do this, the unit has to be powered up - be cautious of the live circuit.

Coaxial input is not functioning in Yamaha RXV 530

Do you have the receivers "Audio Input" set to "Auto?"
There is a small button on the front of the receiver to set audio for either: "Analog, Digital, or Auto" and you can double check it in the "On Screen Menu", "Manual Setup" "Audio" Hope this helps, if you still have an issue, check the "Source"(DVD,Cable Box, etc) setup mode as well.

My Yamaha RXV-795 remote control started broadcasting constantly. I see the red led constantly on, it should be on only when pressing a button. Han can it be handled?

Has anything been spilt on it, if so take the batteries out, pop it apart and remove the rubber backside, and circuit board, wash them with a damp rag, (not detergent) and let dry, then reasemble.
