Question about Sony KV-32FX20U 32" TV
The problem here is with the vertical circuit. Most likely hte vertical IC is bad. Look for a small flat IC attached to a heat sink. It should have about 9 pins or so and be marked LA7837 or something similar. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC. If you regain a picture but it appears distorted in some way, additional parts will be required. Update this with your results and we'll proceed from there.
