Question about Pioneer CDX-P1280 12-Disc CD Changer

1 Answer

Pioneer 1280 changer has no power and won't eject

The head unit and amp works fine just the changer suddenly stopped working trapping my disks inside. Is there an inline fuse or something? Or is the power cable bad?

CD magazine trapped in Ford CD changer, no power to release

there is a way to get it working with the ford radio as long as the ford radio is cd changer compatible. You can purchase an adaptor from a dealer of autoleads. They also have a website. http://www.autoleads.co.uk/ were you can find out if its compatible and what lead you need. As far as i can remember with the jvc changers there is a seperate lead for power for a changer which you have to earth to the body of the car aswell have you got this

Panasonic CD Changer with Pioneer reciever

Panasonic CD changers have a specific plug in that will not work with the Pioneer head unit. The Pioneer uses the IP-BUS plug. You will also not be able to convert the unit to work because the data between the two cannot be controlled and you won't have the ability to use the units together.

No rca jacks

these are designed to hook to a head unit from Pioneer. There are many units that will work if they have a P as part of the unit number. There are some with some cassette units, some with CD units, some with other connections.

Pioneer dics changer pd-f100

I'm not sure about your model, but most CD changers have to have a "head" unit (reciever) that mounts in the dash and does all the controlling through a very long cable about as big around as your little finger that plugs into the head unit on one end and the changer at the other end. Usually there is more than one model of head unit that will fill the bill. You might go online at the Pioneer web site and download the user manual for your unit and see what head units will work with it. Good luck.
