Question about Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z60 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Error E Upon changing the paper in my casio DL 250LA the paper jammed and then buzzed an E message. Now it shows an E upon turning on, does not feed or print. There appears to be nothing in the wheels jamming it - took the whole thing apart. Is it cooked?

Kind of sounds like it. Make sure that there isn't a little piece of paper stuck in there where the paper feeds in. Have seen that happen before. If nothing else try pressing reset button on bottom or machine and see if that helps.

Well, I did everything your steps said to do but that did not fix the problem. When all is done and turned back to online, the printer buzzes and flashes the 13 paper jam again; however, there is no paper...

If your printer makes a load clicking sound and then shows "paper jam" then the problem is a broken drive motor gear. This is a very common problem with this unit. The nylon gear on the drive motor becomes brittle due to the age of the unit and cracks. When this happens the gear teeth do not mesh with the other gears and you get the grinding and clicking sound, and no paper pickup. You can change the gear yourself. The drive gear is available here:

If the printer is still under warranty I would try to get the Canon tech support to help fix it or replace it. If not, look very carefully for any tiny bits of paper that could trigger the sensors. You may also use an air can to blow out hidden particles.

Hope this helps...

Casio TE-8500F "Paper Jam Error"

It won't have anything to do with the battery. There was a known issue with the early printers in this series. The first one I had did my head in. I battled it for hours and then found out that there was a design fault in the printers (not Casios fault as the printers are made by another Co.) It is easy to tell if you have the early version or the second version with modification. The two easiest ways to tell are:

If the model number is printed on a little silver badge or just painted accross the panel. Badge = second version

Have a close look at the receipt printer. If it has a small motor on the end of it (closest to the front of the machine) then it is the second (fixed) version.

Let me know. If you are not sure, then take a photo of the machine and send me a link to it.

Won't work

The problem is with printer. It is either a gear alignment is needed or the printer detector is already defective. There is also a case that an I.C. for the printer on its mainboard is defective. The best solution is to contact your authorized service center on your area.
