Question about Nexgrill 720-0234 (LP)

1 Answer

I have a 720 0439. I can get hi output out of two burners, but when I lite the third, the flame on all burners is really low. Same, if I lite the back burner. It goes out when I lite the main burners. I have two different tanks and it happens with either.

This is a new problem. It cannot be a pinched line to the third burner. That is because if I lite 1 and 3 and then turn on 2 I have the same problem. It happens when all three are on at same time.

It all started when I had two burners on plus the back burner (rotesserie burner). The back burner blew out and the other burners when to low. I changed tanks and got the main burners to work again. But, now I have this additional problem.

Sounds like there could be a pinch somewhere along the line to the third burner. Has it always done this or did it just start out of the blue one day?

Was this the model that Costco had, and is that where you purchased it? I am researching a few other possibilities, please let me know on those questions.

Thanks

Tim

I have been checking around with this exact model grill and it seems like many many people have this same issue. If you try to use more than 2 burners at once the regulator gets all out of whack and can't figure out where to distribute the gas, and how much. I would give NexGrill a call to see if they think you are suffering from the same regulator problem everyone else seems to have. Their number is:

Let me know what you think / find.

    Thanks

No problem, if possible please come back and give my suggestion 4 thumbs up, or very helpful, otherwise I don't get any credit here on the site.

    Thanks

clean burner holes with wire brush real good... if one burner lites and the next lites, but the first burners flame drops-replace Regulator. Its the hose that connects your tank. tapping metal housing with plyiers the next time it does it will show the plastic wheel inside housing is stuck and cannot allow the gas to flow

Hi, I have a ruud silhouette II furnace. The ignitor clicks on and the flame shoots out but then clicks off after a few seconds. Is that an ignitor problem?

Sounds like a flame rod issue or the flame is not getting to it in time. The flame rod is located either far right or far left in the burner box and has only one wire going to it. It should be in line with the flame on a burner. The computer allows only a second or two for the all burners to lite and to get to the flame rod. Check the flame travel from burner to burner. You may have to clean the burners, the flame tray to each burner and the flame rod. Also check any electrical connection at the flame rod, circuit board and the grounds to the furnace cabinet.

Very low flame, like very little gas is getting thru, tank is ful

Okay, what you are dealing with is called "vapor-lock". The way these grills need to be turned off is, close the tank valve first and after the burners go out, then turn the burners off. The way you are doing it is trapping the gas and you are getting a weak flame. Fortunately this is an easy fix. First, light the grill by turning the gas valve open, then turn the burners on to light the grill...as soon as that is done, close the gas valve on the tank then turn the burners off. Repeat this procedure until you get a good flame. If this procedure hasn't fixed the problem after the third time, you need a new regulator and regulators are easy to find in any home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot.

Intertherm m1m furnace board says low flame yellow lite flashes 3 times Not getting enough heat

The system most likely just needs to be cleaned thouroghly. The burners, orifices, ignition assembly and flame sensors get diry, rusty, and contaminaterd. That causes low gas flow, and improper flame pattern. The othe possiblilty is a cloged or failing gas valve.

Rangemaster 110 grill flame.

to find out if the regulator is good or bad, turn any of the burners that do not have the problem, one at a time but take a close look at the flame and see if the flame goes lower and lower as you turn a second burner and a third and the fourth one, if the flame goes lower and lower the regulator is bad. but if the problem is with just the grill one , it has to much air, you can turned down the air where the burner meets the valve that supplies gas to it the burner has a vent, it needs to be close a little bit, you can close it little by little and testing the burner on the on position until the splutter goes away.
