Visit http://s1mp3.org and click on the recovering the dead device in the guide section. Most probably it will help you to recover data. (ehteshamhusain@gmail.com)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I brought Home Theater PHILIPS HTS3565 but when I tried to play my file "AVI" it says codec is not supported but this file can be played in all of my device except PHILIPS. I have already...

Greetings - Your home theater setup will not play xvid or mpeg 4 files. The formats supported are MPG 1 and 2, Divx, and WMV .

If you'd like to view any .AVI or .MP4 files you would have to use a computer and re-encode them to a compatible format.

You will find a list of the software and links to download (much of it free) tools HERE that you can use to convert video to a compatible format (MPG2 is always a good safe format that plays on anything).

Good Luck,

My Sansa View won't play all of my mp4 files - only some of them. I have reloaded them and they still won't work. I copied them via drag and drop.

some files are made with different setting than other files. in the windows explorer, my computer go to the file and right click and choose properties,
compare the file properties of one that works and one that doesn;t and see if you can identify what the difference is. it is more than likely that the file that don;t work are compiled in a different format ie: speed, etc.
you may be able to convert the files with a converter to make them playable in your player.

Philips HTS 3565 system doesn't play MPEG-4(.mp4) formate. TV screen doesn't show the mp4 file, but DIVX files are readable. Can u help me to solve the problem.

Hi,
HTS 3565 this model does not supports the MPEG4 video format, but you can play MPEG1, MPEG2, DivX 3.11, DivX 4.x, DivX 5.x, DivX 6.0, DivX Ultra, WMV all these formats.

When i tfr.data it shows on comp.screen but not in unit(mp4)

The GoGear only recognizes certain file formats. For music, any file type other than mp3 will give you problems such as the one you are experiencing. For videos, you must use the Philips Media Converter.

ok.
all you need to do is push and hold the ^ (up) key on the front and the Volume + key on the side for a few seconds. This will force the hddto reset and turn off. Now you can turn it back on and continue using it. Please note this doesn’t erase the data or music off the MP3 player.

Try pushing the reset button on the bottom, next to the USB socket, then try switching on again.

If this doesn't work, then you may have corrupt firmware. Try a factory restore, as follows:

Open Philips Device Manager.

Whilst pressing and holding the [VOL+] button on the player, connect to the PC.

Continue to hold [VOL+] until told to release, then follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and re-load the firmware.

NOTE: ALL FILES WILL BE DELETED FROM THE PLAYER.

Philips SA6045 Mp4 player- virus?

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).
