Re: loading... jvc dr mh30

Commonly this is cause by leaky capacitors in the secondry of the power supply SMPS ASSY.The PCB is located in the back right hand side of the unit.A visual inspection for any bulging of the capacitors will confirm this.
If you cannot change the capacitors yourself I suggest you take the unit to your local service center.

Dvd will not eject

Someone is going to have to open the unit and have a look to see if it is jammed in some way--often a disc will get out of position preventing it from ejecting--some can gently be moved and the unit may return to operation.

You can try cleaning the laser inside with a Q-tip and some rubbing alchohol, if you can take it apart.

JVC DR-MH30 keeps flashing ''loading'' after recent power cut

Measure the 5V line on the DVD drive,if to low replace the bad caps in power supply. There is an 22 microfarad elco you can upgarde to 47 microfarad to last longer.
If the 5V line is ok the problem could be the harddisk, this is not traceable without the proper software.

ok, this same problem happened to many other jvc dr-xxxx s, i think the only answer to this would be to get it serviced or just chuck it out. the cause for the annoying "loading" blinking light is a blown out capacitator, inside the machine itself i recomend u to not try to fix it d.i.y.

Unit in constant Loading state

Same problem on my JVC DR-DX5SU. Says "loading..." and will not respond. Factory solution is to quickly unplug and plug / or unplug for several hours and plug-in. I suspect that is to cold start and clear error flags. Did not work for me. I looked at the power supply board (immediately behind the DVD drive, on top of the hard disk). I noticed one capacitor was "bulging" on the top. See photo. Electrolytic caps should never be bulging - if anything, the top should be slightly concave.Cap was SAMXON 1500uF,10V,1400mA ripple - I suspect either voltage or current ripple spikes were exceeding its capability. Replaced it with a Panasonic EEUFR1C182 (, 1800uF, 16v, 2470 ripple current, to give it extra margin. Runs correctly now.1_30_2013_1_21_49_pm.jpg
