Depending on make, model & year of vehicle, it could be vacuum or electrical. Sounds like door in system not moving as requested obviously.

Air does not blow through vent on 1994 chevy silverado

Which vents, floor--defrost--dash? Can you hear the blower motor running? The squirrel cage could have broken loose from blower motor? There could be an actuator problem under the dash? If actuators are vacuum controlled and vacuum is lost, it might default to defrost, only blow out defrost vents.

2004 mustang gt. air does not blow from dash vents or defrost

Open hood , passenger side firewall area, look for a thin, black vacuum line, follow it and look for any breaks or bad connection to its vacuum source. repair as necessary.

The air blows mainly out the defrost and lower feet area with a little out the vents.... no matter what setting its on.... whats the problem here

It's most likely a vacuum line, look under your hood (close to the cowl panel) for a disconnected, cracked or broken vacuum line.

In some rear cases, it could be the vacuum switch (in dash). Or vacuum diaphragm (under dash).

Hope this helps you ???

AC works fine at first then stops blowing thru dash vents and will only blow thru defrost and floor vents. this is an 02 chevy trailblazer. It this an expensive thing to fix?

My 2004 Grand Cherokee only blows air through the defrost vents and none of the other vents. What might be the problem?

One thing it might be is the vacuum operated door motor that is under the dash in the lower middle of the cabin. Or one of the vac lines could be pulled off.

My 2003 Ford Expedition a/c blows out the defrost vents and will not blow out the dash vents

The vacuum motor is not operating right due to a loose vacuum tube, ore electrical connection or the logic is bad in the climate control electronics. The vacuum motor controls the door angle which controls whether the a/c blows out of the front vents or the defrost vents.

A vacuum hose that controls the little door that switches where the air blows from is off, its gonna be a real chore the find which one and take the dash out to get to it, but you might get lucky and be able to look underneath the dash from the passenger side and actually see it, good luck

2005 Astro Van AC only blowes through windshield defrost vent

The mode doors in the dash are powered by engine vacuum, if vacuum is missing the default setting is the defrost vent. Look under the hood near the firewall for a disconnected vacuum line.

Air stops blowing through the vents when accelerating

u have a loss of vacuum to the ac mode control switch, this switch applies vacuum to diff vacuum motors to move air to diff outlets, dash, floor, defrost etc. either the vacuum line or vacuum resivior at the engine is leaking or the mode control is leaking vacuum.
