Question about Echo Garden

1 Answer

Echo ES210 handheld blower. Just stopped running. Will only run for a few seconds when sprayed with starter fluid. Bogs down when I squeeze the trigger but still eventually stops running completely anyway. Acts as if its starving for gas. ??? This problem happened very quickly.

Echo ES210 Blower will not start

Since you are getting spark from the plug it sounds like a fuel problem. I would check all the fuel lines and make sure they aren't plugged and ensure the filters are clear.

Why won't it start?

Use carburetor spray from now on, starter fluid does damage.

This may need an adjustment on the carb.

If you pull too manyoung times, it could be flooded.

Wait a little, now remove the exhaust, spray carb cleaner into the exhaust port and plug hole... give 2 slow pulls, just enough to make the cyclinder go up and down a few times, then give a normal pull...

Now if it starts and runs a few seconds, an adjustment is needed on the carb.

HOW DO I replace blade

You must remove the spark plug and use a piston stop tool to prevent engine's crankshaft from spinning. An alternate piston stop method is use starter rope and fill the cylinder cavity to stop the piston. With piston block from movement you can remove that nut. Caution should be use as sometime these are left hand versions. Double check which you should be turning it.

Bogs down after warming up

check exhaust port first. then carb adjustments, then either crankshaft seals or carb needs replaced... You cannot adjust carb, it has to go to a certified center for this procedure... Thank the EPA for this B.S. and no you cannot by the adjustment tools on Ebay.

Hi I have a PB1000 echo leaf blower, I have spark and compression, although there is no primer bulb on this model, so the fuel must have to be vacumed with fuel pump. I used the choke and it still...

Try a tiny spray of Starter Fluid in your machine. If it runs for a second then dies,,,, it would indicate that you have a Fuel problem. Broken gas line of gummed carburetor. Ethanol gas is known for ruining both gas lines and carburetors.

Echo pb 265l backpack blower bogs down at full throtle

Hi ryan...
You still have problems in the carb highspeed circuit..some debris in the passages...
BE SURE TO USE COMPRESSED AIR TO BLOW OUT THE CARB.
(be sure to watch the inlet valve seat, you can loose it and not even know it) Blow the carb clean in a box or something that will contain any part that may be expelled during cleaning.
Please take time to rate me

I have a Echo leaf blower and I can get it running but then it's cuts off after just a few seconds. It has new plug, air filter and fuel filter. What else could it be?

The carburetor could be dirty and need a good cleaning and you could first remove the fuel pump cover (cover without the vent hole) to the carburetor and look for the small, round, fine-mesh screen. Sometimes it gets covered with dirt and debris and has to be cleaned as it allows the fuel to flow into the metering side of the carburetor.

Echo es-210 stop running

This is as simple as it gets. If the carb is 10 years old and has not

been rebuilt in the past 2 or 3 years it will need to be rebuilt or

replaced. The average life of the diaphragms is about 2 to 3 years,

If your carb has limiters which will only allow the adjustment

screws to turn about 1/2 turn, you will likely not get any relief from

adjusting the carb. You will have to take the unit to a local dealer

for help. Most likely you will need to replace or rebuild the carb.
