Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer

1 Answer

F1 at at startup and rinse cycle.

I bought the machine in October 2006. I called the company about this problem on July 14th.. After a bit of explaining, they agreed to send a technician to verify the problem at no cost to me. The technician arrived on the 16th of July and replaced the control module in about 20 minutes. Machine works fine.
I was also told by whirlpool to press the pause/stop button twice in order to reset the machine. While this helped a little it did not completely eliminate the problem.
I am relieved by whirlpool's respone to this problem considering I have purchased 2f ridges, a washer,a dryer and an electric range from them.

Oasis 110.273 "F1" error on inital and rinse cycle fill. Have already checked to make sure all connections were secure.

The F1 error on the Oasis is a known issue. Sears recalled the computer module because it's defective and produces this error along with F71 code errors. Unfortunately, unless your serial number meets their current criteria, they won't honor the recall because it expired on 08/31/2009 for some serial numbers. Best bet is to call and find out if they'll honor it. If you talk nice & originally bought it from Sears, they might. They did for me. But then we had to replace the RPS. Now the stator. This machine is an expensive piece of junk.

F1 error

there is a factory defect in the control circuit board of this washer, read and call the number. post is from another owner.

I called 800-659-7026, which seems to be a 3rd party "recall" center for appliance companies, for my F1 error code. All Kenmore HE Elite Oasis machines with Serial Numbers beginning with CS48-CT49 are in the process of being recalled; however the mailings haven't gone out to customers due to hold-ups in legal with wording. Machines with these serial numbers require an upgraded control board and it takes about 10 business days for the part to come in. They ordered it with no questions asked and are coming out July 14th to replace it free-of-charge

I get error F1 every time I start and before the rinse cycle. I will change cycles, change settings within cycle menus, it tales at least three attempts of shutting it off and restarting it. Now it will...

here's the part # W10189966. I guess whirlpool had a recall on the units and revised the control boards. might want to call whirlpool on that. Good luck :)

I believe that you have a bad connection or the switch is faulty. I might need replacing and it its under warranty you should call the company where you bought it.

F1 Alarm @ rinse cycle

F1 code = Primary Control Failure. Replace the machine/motor control assembly. If you use a screw driver in front of the machine to open the top you will find a repair manual on the inside of the front panel. or depending on the model, you can even unscrew the bottom and find the manual. The manual inside is actually meant for technicians. It contains the error codes and instructions related to them.will be looking forward for your comments if there is any further problem in this.

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE/ Error Code F1

Sorry to tell you but you have a faulty control board. It is a bad part from the factory. They know that its bad too! They have completely remanufactured the part. There is lawsuit against whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis) for the problem. Some people have been able to call and complain to whirlpool and got them to pay for the repair. Complain a lot. Good luck. sorry for the bad news.
