Question about Computers & Internet
Have a Acer Aspire 4720z laptop with a bios PW in place. System boots but am unable to get into the bios settings. All software attempts as well as back door passwords have been tried. Ready to take the thing apart if necessary to clear it, but before attempting it blind wanted to see if anyone has pulled one apart before or has another possible solution.
Check your manual that who is the BIOS manufecturer. Usually ther BIOSes are widely used in IBM Compatible Systems. Phoenix, Award and AMI. Then visit any forum which deals with BIOS. From there you can find the master password which may work. Otherwise you have to clear the CMOS Settings to recover password. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
