Some time the computer start, and other time it will not start at all. After taking the CPU out and back again, some time start. I have changed every thing in the box and even started the board out side the box. It sems to me that the there is a contact problem between the CPU ( Intel P4 2.3 Ghz 775 Sockt). Has any one had the same problems? Thanks

- I get the same problem even when the board is out of the case and I did reset the BIOS using the onboard jumper. Today I called the tech. support of the supplier and they think it is related to the BIOS can not see the CPU. A BIOS update may resolve the problem. I still think it is a contact problem because if I put some prusser on the back of the board around the CPU, some time it comes on. I have never been happy with the new 775 socket but I will do what they say and keep you informed.
Thanks

-   I have the same problem (K8N DL). pm pc 2xcpu 4x1gig 3xhdd
I removed every thing left 1 cpu and a ram, then it started. turned off, left it about 20sec turned on nothing happened. Removed all again + com battery reset, install 1 cpu and 1x ram, nothing. installed all parts, left it for 48 hours, turned on the power switch. LED light flicker for a while then power comes on and cuts off immediately. after few seconds try it again system comes up and everything is fine. only problem is that if I shut it down same thing will happen. I do not know why. but think there is a short somewhere
but then again if there is one the system shoud shut down or crash. but that doesnt happen.

any halp please-   1shadow1

Hi. I did update the BIOS but it did not solve the problem. I got in touch with Foxconn Tech Support and I was asked to change the board, then all problems solved. It was a faulty motherboard.
Thanks to all.

Does the unit start with the board removed from the case? If so I would say you have a grounding issue. Make sure you have the little insulated washers on all the screws holding the M/board in the computer. Other than that try resetting the bios using the onboard jumper, usually jumper J4 or JP4
