This is as much as the manual says
After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the
first time, the numbers on the timer display will flash. Before
you can select a cooking function or set a temperature, you
must set the appliance into manual operation mode.
o To select manual operation mode, press the manual operation
button (9) on the control panel.

sounds like there is a problem with the control panel - I found this answer which may apply==
OK you turn the power off at the wall for at least ten minutes (no sooner) this will allow the backup in the clock to discharge. Once this has been done switch the clock back on and reset
if that doesn't do it you have a problem with the relay or mains filter on the timer itself and will need to get it replaced. Whats happening is that the clock side of the timer is working but the side that looks after power to the ovens is not. Sadly you will have to get someone in to replace/bypass the clock.

Oven and fan not switching on

When you turn the oven on, does the background cooling fan come on at all?
Also, is the time set on the clock, and everything else set to manual running.
(With some manufacturers the oven will not work if the power has been removed for any reason. Until the time is set on the clock, power is witheld from the oven).

The oven turns off after 30 mins

Is the clock re-setting and flashing? Either the fan is failing and the oven is overheating, or the thermostat is faulty and the oven THINKS it is overheating. It is a fail-safe kicking in, momentarily cutting power to the oven to avoid lasting damage.
Set the time on the clock and the oven should be okay to go again, but if problem repeats, replace the fan and/or the thermostat - it is difficult even for an engineer with all his equipment to diagnose which of the two is at fault, but its about all there is to go wrong on a gas oven.
Apparently!

turn of at mains, wait 5 mins and turn back on then consult your handbook to set clock. i suspect you have the oven on automatic by mistake. if this don't work, you may have a problem with the clock itself. you can bypass the clock by connecting together the two contacts adjacent to the clock relay

Baumatic bt180 oven

assume a fan oven.does fan turn and oven light come on? if so problem is the circular element. if no fan and no oven light, then clock probably needs setting - this will be in instruction book. clocks sometimes go wrong but not often. if clock is faulty, a cheap repair is to bypass the clock so auto function no longer works
