My tab 4 10.1 won't connect to my new bt keyboard.I have turned off other bt devices and even factory reset my tablet. It pairs but doesn't connect. It connects to my galaxy s3, no problem.

If that's a BT (bluetooth) kb, you need to go to the tablet Settings, Bluetooth, turn on BT, you might have to tap the More link/button, locate the kb, and add it to get it to pair.

Hi Erica, the only way to restore your tablet to original form will be to factory restore/reset.
This is how to do it.
1: Click on your Settings Icon.
2: Click on Back up and reset
and Automatic Restore so they are clicked, then click on Factory data reset.
3: Click on Reset Device
4: Then click on Delete all

Your tablet should now restart and look like the day you bought it.

Please note that the factory reset might take a few minutes to do the reboot. Don't turn of or disturb the the rebooting, wait until it finish by itself.

Although the tablet should remember any Bluetooth devices connected to it when you shut it down, it still may take some time to enumerate the external devices and connect to them when restarted. Try making sure the keyboard is turned on before you start the tablet and give it a couple of minutes after the tablet fully boots up and see if it finds the keyboard by itself. If not, the keyboard may not retain its device pairing when disconnected, and you may not be able to fix that.

for bluetooth keyboard, usually long push power button (or setting button) to set the keyboard to pairing mode. then go to setting in your tablet, bluetooth then search new device, follow the instruction in the tablet for pairing until finish. done

first open the bt and pair it
then you should see it under the avilable keboards

One thing you've got to know and as a matter of fact acquaint yourself with is this-

Original Apple OS devices, gadgets and equipments DO NOT readily pair or connect with Android OS based devices, gadgets and equipments.

With time, maybe someone can find a way round to resolve this impasse but at the time, its best you save yourself all the aggravations.

Make use of your maplin keyboard instead.
