Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
My children's PS2 has intermittent blinking red status light. Manual says this means overheating, but happens after console has been unplugged for hours. I am pretty technologically inclined, but I can't find an obvious problem with loose solder joints on the board or anything like that, that would normally cause an intermittent problem. When the box does work, the fan is running.

YOur ps2 is pooched. No worries though .A new one costs 150 -200 bucks now.50 if you go second hand.My friend had the same thing we tried everything and anyone..Busted.Sorry....You probably may be able to have it fixed but we were told it would end up costing more than a new one.
