Top load copies are blank

On my Sharp AL-1631 copier, when I try to copy from the top load spf, the copies come out blank white. The transport unlock button is set properly. No error messages come up - just blank copies

I tried changing the the size to a reduction. It took the sheet from the top and copied it at a reduced size with no problem. Then I switched back to normal size and it worked just fine. I would have never thought to try a different size without your suggestion. Thanks for the help
