Connecting Dell Inspiron B130 PC Notebook to HDTV for video viewing ... I would like to connect my Dell Inspiron B130 (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile; no S-Video output; VGA output?) to my Samsung LNT-4069F LCD HDTV. What cables or converters or drivers or software will I need? The Samsung User's Guide suggests 2 options: 1) D-Sub Cable (video) and PC Audio Cable (audio); or 2) HDMI/DVI cable (video) and 3.5mm stereo mini-plug/2 RCA Cable (audio). Will the D-Sub cable connect to the VGA output? Am I going to have to correct possible discrepanices in the resolutions?

Youll need a regular VGA cord and a 3.5mm to RCA conversion audio cable from Radio Shack like the one below. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2428708
forget going the HDMI route, it isn't worth the money youd have to spend on a converter. once you got your cables hooked up, consult this: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/northrup_multimon.mspx

What do I need to connect my dell Inspiron B130 to my panasonic viera tv?

Hi. Try buying a VGA-to-HDMI cable/adapter and connect the VGA to the side of your Dell B130 and the HDMI end to the back of your Viera. Press Fn+F8 on your laptop and you should be able to view the display on your TV.

Hope it helps... ^_^

Video / graphics upgrade

Laptops use graphics chips that are soldered onto the motherboard. Because of space constraints in portable computers, this is the only practical design. Since the graphics chip is built in to the computer, it cannot be upgraded. This is one advantage of desktop computers, which typically use PCI or AGP slots that accept video card upgrades. While graphics chips in laptops may not be quite as high-performance as the video cards in desktop models, companies such as ATI and Nvidia have developed portable graphics chips that deliver impressive 2D and 3D performance."

Video upgrade

Sorry, No. Integrated means it's built into the motherboard. This is typical because it's so highly integrated with the display.

VGA Problem

This sounds like a driver or software issue. Check Dell's support site for any projector related drivers or software, and also check the projector manufacturer's site for drivers or software. You might also look for any Windows media player updates.
