Remove the bottom kickplate and find the hose coupling . Push in on 1 end and slide hose out . Then close the door and push for water . If water comes out the hose in steady spray , then your complaint would be door is frozen .

Icemaker not working, the water despencer is ok, so i know there is water coming in ,it is in on position, no ice is stuck, what do i look for? next move

When the ice is frozen hard the ice maker has a heater that activates so the ice can be released, the a rotating mechanism rotates to push the ice out of the ice maker. Then cycle starts again by dispensing water in the tray. A lot of times the ice maker itself is defective and must be replaced. They are just attached by two screws and plugs into the freezer plug.

Plhs67es fridgidaire refrigerator no water despence or making ice

Always remember Safty First to turn off power and water supply and only turn them on as needed!!!
I checked water supply it was great and then check the valves (solinoids) and the power and all was good. The next thing I checked was the water from the supply valve to the filter at the same time I put some water in the ice maker to make sure it was working (leave it to make sure it drops the ice). The filter was new but was defective. Water went to the filter but did not return any to the despencer or the ice maker. During the different test I performed I also found that the lines hook to valves that the filter plugged into and since the new filter fixed the problem those valves were ok but could have been the problem therefore I suggest if you have this problem remove the filter and depress the small valve with a small object (like a hollowed out pen) and call for the water to be dispenced. If the water does not spray out then you have another problem...I went threw the whole system to find a bad filter, which I thought in the begining but since the other filter was new I done all of the above.
Although I figured out the problem myself this is a great Web Site. Thank You

No water toice maker

The most likely cause is the water solenoid behind the fridge. Take an ohm meter and test across the two terminals and it should NOT ohm out(beep). If it does not ohm out I would replace the P.C. Board kit, emitter & receiver icemaker control.

the problem is most likely the water valve behind the machine. it is closing too slow and letting too much water flow into the icemaker. c30b276.jpg

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Look up through the ice despencer on the front door of the freezer. Is the flapper door open? If so it needs to be fixed. If its not then try leaving the freezer door open for 3+ hours to defrost the frozen line in the door. If that doesnt work, the water valve must be changed.(located behind fridge, take off back cord board panel at bottom, the valve is blue)... GOODLUCK!
