How to fix my Worcester green star ri boiler?

My heating isn't working. Blue light is flashing. I have tried resetting it but the sounds of water gurgling through the boiler is quite loud and then the blue light starts flashing again. Never heard the water sound before. It was on and running okay and just 'went off'. Any suggestions....

The gurgling sound sounds like you have gotten air into the system. Try purging the air out at the bleeder valves. Also check and make sure that your water inlet is working.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the suggestion. Had to get a plumber out in the end. The water filter was blocked with sludge. He took that off and cleans it out. Got it working in no time - and on the bank holiday Monday - and only charged me £40.00!!"

SOURCE: I need to know how to fix my boiler as i have not had this one before its worcester 24i junior and some how the mains got turned off so obviously the boiler went off but now it wont work theres a red

Manual here

All these machines need 0,8 bar minimum pressure for one.
When significant drop of pressure call qualified repair man.

If this is not your regular work you are at mortal risk.

SOURCE: a trickle of hot water from taps, central heating ok

it sounds like your shut off valve might be bad even though it turns on and off by turing it doesn't mean that the washer is not stuck to the seat and not opening, try replacing the valve

Thanks for that mike, it is a worcester bosch combi 24cdi heating and water can stay on for an hour then everything goes off and the red light flashes. it will come straight back on when reset, but then...

Check the pressure reading, should be about 1 bar when system is cold. Various models in the range of 24cdi. If you do not have a manual, go to,
http://www.centralheating.co.uk/Boiler-Manuals/worcester-bosch-boiler-manuals/worcester-bosch-discontinued-boiler-manuals.
Get the manual for your unit, to wards the end of install manual it has a fault finder, Also has a basic 1 in the user manual. Number of flashes how fast the light flashes which one flashing can all mean different, So get the manual and check, Some parts are easy to fix, as long as you do not touch the gas side the rest is plumbing. Come back if needed.

Flashing red light on Worcester 24i junior combi boiler

Pressure is ok? at 1 bar or above
I think on this one there should be a reset button [red] on the left hand top of the casing - or lower the control panel [ phillips screw on each side] and the button is on the left of the base plate. Press this and try the heating.or hot tap
P.S. if you're on a prepayment meter check you have gas.
