Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
I followed the outstanding advice I got from FixYa's tech Joscco (sorry if I screwed up your spelling) and it all came back to life. I bought my iPhone the very first day that Apple sold them in June of 2007 and have not had any problems until today. At first I was excited thinking I would get a new GS iPhone but then I knew I had to put out a significant effort to fix it. That's how I found FixYa!!! And now my iPhone is back in business and so am I.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Press and hold Sleep/Wake and Home until the iPhone resets.
When the Apple logo appears release Sleep/Wake, but do not release Home until you see the prompt to connect the iPhone to iTunes.
to restore the iPhone’s firmware, all your settings, all your media, and all your Apps.
I don't recommend you to do the offered backup, I've seen a few things more reliable then this backup, to say the least...
To avoid the screen of death, do not update all the features with the "Update All" feature, updates your features one at a time, avoid performing other tasks while updating your iPhone.

Ok. There is a nasty rumor that only the update affects iphones that are unlocked. This is very untrue. Whenever you try to use almost every accessory that was made for an iphone, You will encounter this problem. As well, most of these products when you plug in your iphone will cause a message to pop up stating that the device is not compatible with an iphone. and will ask you if you want to put the phone into airplane mode. Though this option is available you now have a device trying to charge, and use an incompatible device. Hence the black out. I went through those myself with a ipod dock alarm clock. Unfortunately, unlocking your phone, voids your warranty.. I will still try to to find a way to revive you iBrick but the outlook is bleak. Sorry.
