My camera will not turn on,...

I have tried more than one battery and it simply will not turn on. This happened a couple months before, but it final turned on the next day. But this time it seems to be permanently dead. Hope someone has an easy fix.

Sounds like a good reason to look into a new camera...

My camera has new batteries in, but as soon as i turn it on, it dies. Sometimes telling me it has low battery, sometimes just going off... its has hardly been used, and has worked before? whats happened...

the same happend with me, use lithium batteries, it worked for me, but it drains them too quickly. normal batteries are not strong enough.

I don't know why but a couple of months later my lens got stuck open and my cam will turn on, the green light will come on but nothing will happen.

If it happens too you too please respond.

Camera gives E18 error!!!

Hello there,
The E18 error is related to the LENS not able to retract fully. If it is still under warranty, I would advise you bring it to the nearest service center. This is to avoid further damages. Otherwise, you can try a few things below.
There are a couple of things you can do.
1. Turn it on and then off. Spray canned air around the lens.
If trick 1 will not work out, try this.
2. Make sure the battery is fully charged. Turn on the camera and then give it a couple of firm whacks on the side. Make sure nothing is blocking the lens and wait for it to fully retract.
Let me know how it goes.

Occasionally while shooting in auto/portrait my shutter will stay open for 1 second or longer, for no reason

Have you tried to reset the camera and reboot the firmware? I had that problem with a friend's camera and it simply worked.
Other thing is: are you using the original battery or a third party battery? sometimes bad quality batteries are creating such a problems like shutting down the camera, shutter lags...

I hope it helps, if not let me know

Power button problem

As you said, its 4 months old and assumed under warranty cover. Contact Sony Service Center for repair because if you try yourself, will void warranty.

Casio E57 wont turn on

Hi: Most problems with cameras that each time we turm them on and they switch off automatically are based on couple of things. Most likely, the problem of your camera is related with the camera lens. Probably you took you camera to the beach or a place were the camera was exposed to dust or sand and that can be one of many causes why the camera doesn't work. My advice is to go to a store that offers support of Casio devices. It's easier and it's most likely it's going to cost anything because it's on warranty... right?? :) At least here in Portugal all the hardware devices (included cameras and so) have, at least, two years of warranty!! ;) Regards
