Question about Panasonic Palmcorder SDR-H18 Camcorder

1 Answer

The photos are very dark. When I take interior photos, I turn on lights but the photos are still dark. If I have too many lights on, there is a glare from the lights. Can you help?

This camera has a menu to adjust the settings for light and dark. Go to settings and you should be able to fix it.

Reflection off of screen

Plasma TV's are known for their glare and reflection issues, you can still fix it by buying a third party anti-glare filter and applying it on your television. For example, "ViewGuard" makes filters that goes up to 65" in size. It is not cheap though, depending on the size of your television.
Of course, the best solution is to adapt your room accordingly. If the glare is caused by the sun light coming from the windows, installing curtains on your windows or moving your television to a better spot is a very effective way to reduce the glare and the reflections on your television.
If the glare is caused by the room's lights, the best solution is to install ceiling spot lights with a dimmer.

Hope that helps!

Glare from laptop

LOL, not much you can do about the glare unless you buy some type of cover that goes over the screen.

Have you tried darkening the screen by using your keyboard keys that controls the brightness and darkness? Usually they work in conjunction with the FN function key.

Hi whenever i try to take photos in the sun like on the beach they come out really dark please help

Please check the light settings and change from high sensitivity to even a manal mode or a bright sunlight setting.
It is possible that the incident light is too powerful and so changes the auto light sensor to give a correction to the CCD so as to make it less brighter.
You can also try and use filters that can reduce the glare but give a better picture contrast.
If not use the manual mode, correct the speed and aperture.

Taking a photo of another photo with the finepix z70

Place your camera in MACRO mode to shorten the focal length. Make sure your flash is off. You can zoom in a little bit, but the trick to using MACRO mode is finding how close you can get to the photo without blurring- it takes some practice. You want enough light coming over your shoulder so the picture is not dim, but no glare either. If you can prop your photo up at an angle so that you cand find the "sweet spot" that gives you good lighting and minimal glare, you are home free!

Cluster goes dim when i turn the lights on

your dash lights should dim when you turn your running lights on. This is to reduce the glare for night time driving. There will be a dial on the dash near the cluster that you can adjust the brightness of your interior lights

2007 Nissan 350z automatic anti-glare rear view Mirror isn't working. The "on" light is green, yet when im driving I still get blinded by anyone who is behind me, It used to make the glare turn dark...

Well, the car should still be under warranty if you have'nt gone over the mileage, why not take it to the dealer? This is just a suggestion so you don't have to spend any money.

See pages 50-52 for what to do. Use a close-up setting and no flash. Also take photo at an angle to reduce reflected glare.

INSIDE PHOTOS ARE DARK AND GRAINY

Regardless of the camera make/model... dark, grainy photos are usually a result of a lighting problem. Looking at the specs for your camera, the flash is only speced for 4m. If you are shooting near or above this you might have trouble. I ended up using an external flash that is triggered by sensing the cameras flash. Pretty inexpensive and pics ar 10x better. Try a local camera shop or B&H Photo (NYC) is where I got mine set up on line.
