Question about LG VX9400 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

I dropped my LG VX9400 accidently in the pool? As soon as I saw it it I grabbed it, separated the battery from the phone and dried them off with some paper towels. Then I let then phone and battery sit out for about 10 minutes before putting it back together. Then phone turned on but the screen kept switching between applications. Then I separated the battery again but my friend tried to put the phone back together and the screen went completely black. Any help?

Water

Sometimes when electronics are dropped in water, you can still use the. Circut boards have a silicon coat over the circut boards for instances like this. Depending on how long it was in the water, you may be able to still use it. Let the phone dry out for about 24 hrs (take out battery and back cover) then try to replace the battery and start it back up. If it doesnt turn on the circuts were affected and it broken.

Everything works but the touch screen.

caring for the touch screen includes touching the screen with clean and DRY hands., if your phone fell in the water, it will likely damage the touch screen.. contact your nearest LG repair center.. i hope your phone will soon be fine..

I dropped my phone in the toilet

When something like this happens, you need to take the battery out and let it dry for a few DAYS. Unfortunately you started it charging - the battery was probably not dry inside and you likely shorted it out. Try using someone else's battery to make sure it's not the phone, if the phone turns on you may just need to purchase a new battery. If even with a foreign batter the phone still doesn't work you'll likely have to buy a new phone. Sorry!

VX9400 problem

I had the same issue, but knowing some things about computers, I took the battery out for about 3 minutes or so to let the phone lose any charge it had. Then I put the battery back in, held the send button in for a minute then pushed the power button and it turned back on fine.
