Re: X BOX 360

It has nothing to do with your cables 99% of the time anyway. The prob lies internally. It has somthing to do with the solder on the connections. Look up the "towel trick" This is to be used as a last ditch effort. If you have a warranty still send it back. The towel trick works. I did it last night to mine has the exact same problem as you are describing. But be careful it does have the potential to damage more componants such as the processors. Thats why its the last ditch effort. But so far so good with mine.

Light is on and green but no video coming out to television what might be the problem.

Typically, this problem occurs if the audio/video (A/V) cable is not connected correctly, or if the A/V cable is faulty.

Solution 1: Set the television or monitor to the correct input
Make sure that the TV or monitor is set to the correct input for the console. Check the TV or monitor's manual to see how to configure the video inputs, or try to use the console on a different TV or monitor.

Solution 2: Connect the A/V cable securely
Sometimes, you can insert the A/V cable far enough to prevent any red lights from flashing on the Xbox 360 console but not far enough for the console to transmit images or sounds to the screen.

Solution 3: Switch the Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable to the correct setting
Make sure that the TV/HDTV switch on the cable is set correctly.
  • For standard-definition TVs with only the yellow connector plugged in, set the switch to TV.
  • For high-definition TV or monitors with the red, blue, and green connectors plugged in, set the switch to HDTV.

My x-box 360 will turn on but the ring will not light up.

If the centre green light comes on, but your controllers won't sync, this could be the hdmi cable, it could be damaged or has come loose, make sure the cable is pushed into the console and tv correctly.
Let us know if this helps.

My x-box 360 has no picture when turned on.

Your XBOX 360 has a video problem. A different cable will not fix this. It needs to be reflowed. Look online on how to reflow an XBOX360 or send it in for repair.

Xbox 360 with no picture

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Try another Av cable ( Audio video Cable )

2. Try another television

3. If the steps dont work, call xbox customer support to have your xbox serviced. Good Luck! hope your console still has warranty

The main reason why its acting that way its possible that the AV PORT is faulty or its your cables..

My xbox 360 turns on with 4 green lights but i can not see any picture or sound

it sounds as if you have a connection unhooked or loose somewhere. Double check all audio and video cables are secure and in the correct position. If that doesn't work try troubleshooting by trying a different tv or removing all connections from tv and xbox and re-hooking everything back up.

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!

Sound works but no image

This means the AV cable is not detected, try one of these...

1. Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.

2. Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.

3. If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.

4. If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.

If this is helpful at all, please rate, thanks!
