I am having trouble finding the right tension for sewing on knits. I recently had machine cleaned and the tensions were supposed to be set. The bottom thread keeps bunching up or not sewing straight and is loose. I am about ready to take it back to the sewing place to ask them what to do. Any suggestions?
Thanks,Lisa

Thanks for the ideas. I will pick up some needles specifically for knits and start there. I appreciate your fast response!

WEhen the tensions are set after a service they are normally set for cotton fabrics, very rare will they be tested on knitted fabrics, make sure you have the correct needle for the fabric, you will need to lower the top tension so the fabric does not bunch up, with knitted fabric a little tip is to put a toilet roll on your lap and sewover the toilet roll onto the fabric the peel off the toilet roll, use a stitch length about 3 or 4, can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes getting the paper off the stitches but it does help
