Dryers stopped working during cycle

My dryer stopped working during a cycle last night and won't start again. The light is no longer coming on either. The first thing I checked was the circuit breaker which was fine. Can anyone tell me other possibilities?

The dryer was drying, and suddenly stopped and control panel says call technician. Then says door open, won`t start after unplugging to reset it. The inside light stopped working at that time.

It may have overheated. Wait a couple of hours and try again. If it still doesn't work you will need an engineer to diagnose the problem. As it went out during a cycle it could be high limit thermostat or high limit cut out. Both are available on eBay and Amazon. Those parts fail if the dryer gets too hot caused by bad airflow, clogged filters, exhaust pipe or stuck vent slats outside.

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Whirlpool dryer

If your dryer stops during its cycle, wait ten minutes and start dryer again. If dryer starts, then the motor was overheating.

Solution, Check for lint blockage around the motor and for possible overloading. If dryer repeatedly stops during its cycle, especially during consecutive loads, replace motor.

Good luck
