Is the problem not enough air or strong air flow that is warm? It may be much more than the filter. look at the air handler (fan unit). the filter should be at the end where the air enters the unit.
While working withe filter assembly it is possible that you unplugged the dispenser electrical connection. I will need the Sears number for example 213.258978 to assist you better. Let me know
If there is a filter on the unit, change it. If not, then sounds like the screen is clogging up. You will need to pull the unit out and remove the water supply line and take off the adaptor to access the filter screen and clean it...
