Question about Palm AT&T C/PHONE PALM CENTRO S64801

The phone button on my palm centro is going to the calendar. I tried to change it back to phone in the preferences menu, but it's already on phone, and you cannot change it. Can I correct this problem w/o doing a hard reset?

Hello cyssy,

The Palm Centro 'Buttons' settings can be accessed and changed from the 'System' screen like this:
•Press the 'Home' button on the Centro.
•Tap the 'System' category (top of sscreen).
•Tap the 'Prefs' icon
•Tap 'Buttons' to change the Buttons settings as you desire.

I thank you for giving a rating to this solution if it has been helpful.

Have a great day,

You will have to do a hard reset, just back your phone up using the palm desktop software and then do a hard reset.

Putting contacts on the SIM card

When I migrated from my Palm Centro (best smartphone ever) to my current BlackBerry, I did the following: 1) Export Palm contacts from the Palm Desktop software to CSV (comma separated values or tab-delimited text) format. 2) Import the CSV file to your Google Contacts account. 3) Wirelessly sync Google Contacts to your new phone using the free Google Sync app (link below). 4) Verify data was transferred appropriately.
Google Sync works with iPhones: http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/
You should be able to follow the same process for your Palm Calendar by exporting your Palm Calendar from the Palm Desktop software to a file (save the exported file to your desktop, or an easy to find location on your computer), then import the Calendar file into a NEW Google Calendar, not your primary calendar (in case there's conflicts or problems, you can delete the secondary Google calendar without losing your primary Google calendar items). Google Sync should allow you to choose more than one Google Calendar to sync with your iPhone.

How do i tranfer my contacts from my palm centro & another palm centro?

First, make sure you backup all of your data, including data in any 3rd party apps.
Sync your first Palm Centro with the Palm Desktop software to save the data.
Verify the sync settings in the Palm Desktop software to make sure when you begin syncing with the new Palm Centro, the settings for each application (contacts, calendar, memos, etc.) are one-way sync to the device, or you might end up overwriting the data in your Palm Desktop software with what's on the new Palm Centro.
When you sync your new Palm Centro with the desktop software the first time it will ask you to name the new device. If you give it the same name as the old Palm Centro, all of the data will sync to your new Palm Centro.
Search your computer for a folder with the name "Palm" in it to try and locate the name of your old Palm Centro, so you can name the new Palm Centro the same. When you locate that folder on your computer, it would be a good idea to simply make a copy of that folder as a total backup.

Centro handheld won't sync with Desktop Calendar

Reinstalling the software would probably be the best Idea. If you need the calendar bad enough you could always do a full backup with a third party program onto the SD card, then do a hard reset. Maybe it's a problem with the Centro.

Message button

the centro is a smart phone and boasts e-mail over text any day. But for those of use that would rather text, you can go to the preference menu and assign every side key and navigation key.

from the main screen press the home button, select prefs, scroll down to personal and select buttons and then change the envelope icon to messaging.

Pls make sure you rate my post.....Good Luck!! :D
