The unit says 'goodbye' and turns off about 15 seconds after being turned on. It has worked perfectly and hasn't been damaged in any way. Could i have pressed a button by mistake ?

SOURCE: Unable to turn TT1 on

I had the exact same problem. I live in the US, and their service has been very good. Please call them. There is a software tool that can be downloaded to fix this.

It fixed mine fairly easily.

Why won't my unit turn on-front says goodbye

"Moved" is the keyword here. If the unit was knocked, then damage could have occured. This might simply mean a bad soldering joint that could be repaired with just a touch of a soldering iron.

Heating unit is delayed when you turn the heater on. It takes atleast 15 minutes or more before it comes on. what could be the problem.

When you say "unit is delayed" are you saying the fan does not come on when you switch the unit on, or that the air blowing takes 15 mins to get hot?

How do i program this remote control Radio Shack 6-in-1 Easy Setup Voice Remote Remote Control Easy remote

Turn on the unit to be controlled manually. Press and hold Setup until the voice prompt starts the programming menu. Press 1 to directly enter a code. Press 2 to search for a code. Note at any step if the no buttons are pressed for 15 seconds, the remote will enter the usage mode. Start again from the Setup button. When prompted, press the device button for the device you want the remote to control.

Then enter the 4 digit code (if using the direct programming mode). The LED will blink twice and the remote will announce success. Test if the remote works (play, power) when prompted to test the code and press Setup if it is successful. Then wait until the remote says goodbye and then press Power again. The unit should turn off. (I strongly suggest testing other functions as well after this.) Repeat with other codes if unsuccessful.

For searching through the programmed codes, start as indicated above: press and hold Setup and then press 2. When prompted press the device button. Then press the test key (power usually). Slowly alternate pressing CH+ and power until the device turns off. Press CH- if you miss the device turning off. Press Setup to store the code. Then after the remote says goodbye check if the remote works for all the functions. Repeat the above if it doesn't work for all features.

The manual for the remote is available here: http://files.remotecentral.com/view/852-1041-1/radio_shack_15-2146_6-in-1_easy_setup_voice.html . This file is a PDF in a zip archive and does include the code list at the end.

Please note that codes in the remotes are limited to those for devices released at least 6 months before the remote was programmed. If your device is newer than your remote, you may need a new universal remote. I suspect this remote may be from 2004.

I hope this helps.

Won't turn on - when last used 7 days ago was working perfectly.

Hi davisfive,

The Garmin Nuvi 250W and most other 200 series GPS receivers are normally reset as follows:

The reset button is located on the right rear-backside of the unit. Press a blunt non-metallic object or a cut off toothpick into the small hole and hold for approximately 15 seconds. The unit should do a fresh reboot. Sometimes these GPS units can be reset by sliding the Power key to the left for 10-15 seconds to completely shut the unit down. Then, do the same procedure for 10-15 seconds again, to power it back on.

It would be best to assure the unit has external power, and hopefully a full battery charge, for best results. Also you can download a complete manual from this link for more info:

http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/nuvi205_OwnersManual.pdf

Let me know how this turns out, and if I can help you further.

Regards, Bill

When engine turned off Parrot unit remains in GOODBYE mode and fully lit

it has has a software crash, you will need to have the blue junction box unplugged to reset it, this may also not work and you may need new software putting into the parrot, if in doubt go to parrot.com and find an accredited engineer in your area.

Unit scrolls "Goodbye!" and shuts off and on spontaneously

It is receiving a signal to shutdown and restart. This sounds like the power on selector may be dirty or damaged. It may require disassembly to get to the switch or contact pad.

If all else fails, I recommend contacting a local car audio professional, or you may contact Clarion customer support directly by clicking here:

I trust this information has proven beneficial.
