Asko D3120 I have resolved the problem of pum always running by tilting the dishwasher but now I have a new problem of the pump not draining the water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I thought it was clogged so I removed the screen and filters but did not stick my hand in the hole to clean... I used the plunger for at least 30 mins. In the bottom where the filter are, you can see a yellow 'thing'. Remove this and stick one finger in an try to rotate the pump wing. Try to remove particals that is blocking the pump.
Or there is something in the drain hose. Try to drain the machine by holding the drain hose over bucket. If it drain here, then the problem is under the sink.

Water will not drain out but the water pump keeps running even when the door is openned or closed.

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Havnt used my dishwasher in 2 years on account of saving water. now when i push the start button some water flow into machine for a few minutes and then just stops. manual says to clean filters and drain...

Try pouring water from a bucket through the front. maintain the level. It should not overflow.

Run a empty cycle. If there is a air block it will get cleared.

When I start my dishwasher it will initally drain any residual water and then add clean water but will not wash the dishes.

I had the same problem and replaced the control board - problem solved. The good news is it's easy to replace; the bad news is a replacement board costs almost $300.

I had to slide the dishwasher forward (undercounter installation)and tip it forward as far as possible. Water leaks onto floor, but then the internal controller seems to reset and the ASKO now works normally again. What kind of idiot would design a control module that does not incorporate a power-off interlock? FAIL FAIL FAIL - Bad, ASKO, Bad. Go to your room.

Doesn't shut off

i think you are hearing the drain pump going. take the bottom front panel off so as to expose the bottom tray. yoy willprobably find this full of water. mop water out and it should work. if fault reoccurs then you have a leak.
turn power off first

Remove the backpanel of the machine, and look if there is water at the bottom of the machine. If so, use a towel or so to dry up the water. This should solve the prob.

ASKO Overfill protection tripped

Ok, heres what you have to do. Remove the lower toe kick and then remove the panel behind that to gain entry to the lower portion of the dishwasher wher the guts are. You will also have to pull out the little brackets that hold the toe kick and all the screws will be t-15 or t-20 torx (little star shaped bits) Once you have all the panels out of the way, you will find water in the bottom of the tray there tripping the overflow switch. Remove the water with a wet vac or towel or something and the drain pump will stop running. If you can't or don't want to do all this, then just let the dishwasher sit for a few days or so and eventually the water will just evaporate and everything will work normally. Hope This Helps!
