Have a blue tint or hue on the screen of my Hitachi 50vs69 television. The tint does not cover the whole screen just an irregular pattern near the middle vertical axis of the screen.

The Optical Block is causing this. Due to the cost of replacing I would call Hitachi at 1800-448-2244 and see if they would be will to help you with the cost.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

It sounds like you have a Optical Engine that needs to be replaced. Due to the cost of the repair, I recommend you to call Hitachi at 1800-HITACHI and see if they would be willing to help with repairs and also help in locating a Service Facility near you to confirm the symptom.
I hope this helps,
