Thermostats have a swing setting. This means the temperature will fluxuate a little above and below the set temperature. Some thermostats can be adjusted, some don't. Try setting it to 75 and see how low it goes. You might just have to play with the settings until it fits your needs.

Getting an E4 Code and the air is not as cool as the temperature reading indicates. How to fix?

I think it is low on gas. You will have to call the repairman on this one. If it is real old, just replace it.

I have a white-Rodgers 1F86-244 thermostat. When I turn the temp down it clicks on. But when left to come on its own it does not. I replaced batteries & reset it several times. Do I need a new...

Hi. This is Aaron Moratalla from White Rodgers. The clicking sound indicate the relays inside 1F86-244 are working. Say you want heat and your room temperature reading (left side of LCD) is 70F and your set Temperature (right side) is 75F. When you push the down arrow and set it from 75F to 69F or lower then you should hear the soft clicking sound. Same thing if from 69F you increase it to 71F or higher. If you don't have the clicking sound it means your thermostat could be broken. If that is the case then call our Tech Support at 800-284-2925. It's line is open M-F from 7AM to 1Am CST and Sat-Sun from 7AM to 4PM CST. Thank you for choosing White Rodgers!

What are the heating requirements for a ball python?

Ball pythons require a daytime temperature ranging from 80-85F and a basking spot of 90F. These temperatures can be slightly decreased at night to around 74F. I would recommend buying an under tank heating pad as well as an incandescent bulb for the basking area. You will need to use a minimum of two thermostats to help monitor the tanks temperature.

Oven Pre-heats too high

Your oven sensor has gone bad and telling the control board/thermostat to keep heating. Find the model number on the range and go to a parts distributor like repairclinic.com or apdepot.com and order you sensor. This is an easy repair.

Oven doesn't maintain the correct temperature.

The first suspect is the temperature sensor or oxidation on it's wiring connector pins. If you have an ohmeter you can measure it. It should be about 1080 ohms at 70F. As sthese ovens get older the control board tends to develop problems that cause this behavior. You can have the board rebuilt at fixyourboard.com.

Installed the Honeywell RTH2300

at the thermostat you have a small tolerance (most have 5% + or -) few degrees is not a problem ex...70F= 21C and 82F=27C this diference is inertial, you can set a lower temperature(ex...60 F to reach 72 F) the problem is if the temperature grow and never stop until the saftey thermostat stop the heating.also is posible to have a broken thermostat(work thermostat) and in this case it must be changed whit new one or the teperature probe is plced in a wrong place.
