Sorry for my stupid question, but doesn't your printer have a guide for lining up the Paper? If so and it is on the Right Side, I would imagine that you have worn the Rollers or possibly the Pickup out.

Keep in mind these items are consuable and are, designed to wear out, design is a bad term, but it's just like the brakes on your car....at come point you need new pads.

You can check the Pickup easy, the rubber should be above the plastic, if it is level with the plastic, time for a new one.

You can buy Printer Cleaner paper designed to pick up dirt, oil, etc from the rollers, and other parts the paper comes in contact with. After using this you should be able to print a few sheets, but it will quickly die again, but know you know you need a new roller set for your printer....plus its not a bad idea to have the print cleaning sheets around anyway...their pretty cheep.

Let me know how it goes.

My fax machine keeps jaming on the right side in the paper tray, what causese this

When it jams, does the paper get bent or crinkled? If so, there is probably something lodged in there causing the paper to stop. Could be a paperclip or staple, or maybe another piece of paper.

If there is nothing blocking the paper and it just stops feeding on one side, you may have a tension problem -- springs might be getting old and not pushing rollers together tight enough to feed the paper. If you can take the machine apart, try switching the springs around to see if that makes a difference.

Lexmark Z715 printer

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.IF the problem continues then its the problem with rollers in the printer ,hardware problem ,

Good luck....

My epson cs7800

I had the same problem and found a small spring was loose and interfering with the paper. The Spring was on the right side as you look at the printer, near the bottom of the paper feeder. I took it out and it works fine, for now.
