Question about Garden
When I engage the Self-Propell, it rumbles and the wheels only move slightly then stop, I removed the wheel thinking maybe it stripped the inner gears on the wheel but they are not stripped, I made sure the cord was tight and when I pull it, it tightens the belt around the mower blad shaft, do you think it could be the actual gearbox? What other troubleshooting steps can I take?
See if the lever going to the gearbox is cracked or broken. there is a gear inside the box that has a pin going thru the shaft that may have broken but usually it is external. these mowers have a plastic lever to put the transmission lever in gear if the cable is overtightened they wont hold up.if it cracks it leaves practially no tension on the engagment system
