If it is an apple Ipad, Hold Down the power button and the Home button down for about 10 seconds then try powering on again.

If it is an android, there are multiple options on different brands.
1) Hold down the power button for about 5-10 seconds
2) Hold down the Power and Volume down + up for 30 or more seconds.

Hope this Helps!

Why is my tablet saying it's charging but it's still draining the battery while charging

If it is doing that, you need a new one or it needs repairing. Put it onto charge and then power it down. Batteries do start to fail after 3 or 4 years and are reasonably cheap to replace.

Tablet not charging while plugged in

Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.

My sons rca 10.1 tablet wont power up.....right before this happened it was froze on the start up screen and wouldnt power off. I let the power run down hoping then I could charge it and it would power up...

Lithium ION batteries are usually rechargeable. The use mode for these batteries is that there are a set number of recharges that equate to the life of the battery. Usually that life is approximately 1,000 charges.
If you use your battery to 50% then recharge, you can do this ~2,000 times. As the life of the battery is used up, the maximum charge lessens which means where you may have had 8 hours of play time when the battery was new, you will only have 6 hours as the battery life is used up.
In order for a Lithium ION battery to recharge there must be at least a small amount of charge left as a "seed" for that recharge. If you drain a L-ION battery down to zero, it may never recharge again or the max charge will be reduced to an insignificant amount of the original full charge. eg instead of 8 hours you may only get 15 minutes, or 5 minutes, or no minutes.
You are much better off recharging when 50% depleted than using it up til your product stops.
L-ION batteries cannot be repaired only replaced. Most cheap products using L-ION batteries cannot have their batteries replaced.

My tablet saya charged but when I unplug it turns off

Perhaps only the rechargeable battery is on its end of life? or your charger is not capable to give enough power to charge the battery and drive the tablet at the same time.
If you only could charge the battery once , while it is not connected, that could give an indication of its condition, when you start using it.
Sure you are charging the tablet with an original charger? Like they delivered with the tablet?

Why will my battery not charge?

I will assume you are finding the procedure to remove battery for the ACER travelmate C300 tablet PC. Best way would be to go to page 50 in the service manual available at this site.
http://tim.id.au/laptops/acer/travelmate%20c300.pdf
The battery not charging could simply be the battery is old and dead or the charging circuit is faulty. Start with the adapter in that case as it is cheapest to replace.

If you are removing parts to diagnose further then I would strongly suggest you video what you are doing in order to get back to where you started.

?how do I charge the battery

Hello,

You use one of two methods
Method 1
1. Install the battery in its compartment.
2. Plug the AC adapter

The battery will start charging, and the status light for the battery will appear amber. The light will remain amber as long as the battery is not fully charged. When the cahrge is completed, the light will turn green.

Of course, if your are using your computer while battery is being charged, it will take three to four times longer to complete the charge.

Method 2

Toshiba sells battery chargers which you can use to charge a battery outside of the computer.

Hope it helps.
