Check your AV cables. when the AV cables are connected to the TV, select AV mode on your TV. Remember you might have more than one AV mode ie AV1, AV2, AV3.........

Software is done via Wifi using the smart hub button. Firmware is done via USB. I don't like the third party sites in this link, get it from Sinotec's website
Make sure your TV input source selector is set to the correct option (Video 1, Video 2 or Rear Video Connection or whaever the options are for your TV) when you want to play a DVD.
Try using the DVD player on a different TV to see if the DVD player is working OK.
Then try a different DVD player hooked up to your TV to see if your TV is set up OK.
You can also try using a different set of cables just in case the cables are faulty.
Try using an S-Video cable from your DVD player to your TV (if they both have those connections)and see if you get any signal that way.
When you are testing, be sure to check the sound on your TV to see if you are getting any audio signal from your DVD player.
By carrying out these troubleshooting procedures you should be able to narrow down exactly where the problem is and then fix it.
I just followed the instructions to program the Samsung remote (Press tv button then press and hold the power button whilst pointing at your TV and type in the code) ....I went through every code until my TV turned off....The code for my Sinotec is 75
Try with this,with the disc tray empty turn on the dvd then push for 5 seconds the button stop.If this don't work connect to the tv on the video signal the y connector you got signal on black in white but you can see the menu to deactivate this function.Good luck.
by befault your dvd recorder is transmiting signals via component video, so what you need to do is this connect both cable HDMI and Component or just a video cable then go into setup and then select video out via HDMI your video will go off on the screen and then with TV remote slect input source HDMI on TV and it should work fine.
