Does the unit have a starter or just a pressure switch , if just a pressure switch it should be marked with line and motor , the wires on the motor should go to the motor terminal and the line terminals are the power supply , if the unit is 110 volts make sure you put the wires on by color , the white wire goes to the motors white wire and the black to the motors black wire , if this is 220 volts it does not matter which wire connects just put the two black wires on the line terminals. One wire per terminals please.

What size wire need to used for hook up elect 7hp 60 gallon g5396

Hi GCHEVY,
CH recommends their power cord part# EC012902AV. This is a three wire cord, using 10 gauge wires. (1) Black, (1) White, (1) Green or Bare. See CH video here for additional setup tips:

I want a operators manual for a coleman powermate air compressor 20 gal tank

You should be able to download a manual from this site:

http://www.powermate.com/productmanuals.php?cat_id=1

The VLF1582019 is a 20 gallon model but you should confirm if this is the model number of your unit.

Hello...I have a blackmax 60 gallon 6 hp compressor. Model # BL6006016. Twin cylinder, single stage. What kind of oil do I use ? Thank you!

Compressor oil is less demanding then cars, but car oil works fine. Normal 1W-40 would probably work the best.
You would hardly ever have to change it either, because there is no water, soot, or acids produced in a compressor, as there are with a car.

Need to install power cord to terminals on 220 AC motor

Ok, read the data plate on the motor. Does it have a zero with a line straight through it. That means it's single phase. Also the plate may list two different voltages 110/220ac correct. On the inside of the panel of the box where the cord connects it will have a two diagrams. One marked low voltage, the other high voltage. You want 220ac so follow the high voltage diagram. Since it's single phase the green wire will go to a green screw in the box. The black wire from your cord is positive and the white negitive (actually neutral but shown on diagrams as negitive). The wire coming out of the motor will have numbers on it's casing. Follow the connection points on the diagram. Don't worry if you hook them backwards the motor just won't turn. It won't hurt anything.

Coleman Powermate Model Number BV6548049, pressure switch leak.

Usually, a leak at the pressure switch unloader valve is caused by the checkvalve in the tank. The unloader valve at the pressure switch bleeds out the air from discharge tube after compressor reaches set pressure. This only takes a few seconds. If air continues to leak then air is leaking back into the discharge tube past the tank checkvalve. Follow the air discharge line from the compressor to the brass valve at the tank. The brass valve is the checkvalve that holds the pressure in the tank. There are usually two connections at this valve. One is the unloader tube to the pressure switch. Simple test for leaking checkvalve, with pressure in tank unplug or switch off the compressor and remove the small unloader line at the checkvalve(brass valve) and look/listen for leak. If leaking, remove the checkvalve and examine seat/check for debris keeping the valve slightly open. If it cannot be cleaned, order generic replacement from www.grainger.com. It will cost less than the factory checkvalve. Just pay attention to the thread sizes for easy fit. Good Luck on your repair and email if you have questions.

Wires on Compressor motor disconnected.

Some compressors come unwired so the purchaser can wire for 110 or 220 by their choice. This I would think would be possibly your case. Was this purchased new? In any case, here is a site where you may be able to obtain a manual,

http://powertool.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/coleman/coleman_air_compressor_product_list.html

and here is one with a similiar description but a different brand compressor.

http://www.thestuccocompany.com/maintenance/240-volt-air-compressor-wiring-advice-from-Campbell-Housfeld-25469-.htm

hope this helps. copy and paste short cut, in case you may not know, highlight text you want to copy by holding down left mouse button and moving pointer of mouse over text desired, while cursor is still over the high lighted area release left button and right click mouse, select copy, then put cursor in the box you want to paste, right click and select paste
