Hi I haven't used my phone for a couple of years. when I switch it on now it say.. error 102 reload software... what do I do?

Big problem - That is a software problem. Phone OS Operating system should be reinstalled - Take to repair shop and ask for software update

You can fix this by hooking up to computer and reloading the software using the BB desktop manager software, will usually also auto backup your data before it writes software.

1.Connect Blackberry device to your Computer and open Blackberry Desktop Manager.
2. Double Click on Application Loader
3.Click Next to start the installation process.
4.Type your Blackberry smartphone password,if prompted and Click Ok.
5.Select the check boxes next to the names of the applications to be loaded,and then click Next.
6.Click Ok> NEXT>FINISH

You need to go to blackberry.com and download the latest Blackberry Desktop Software for your phone. It can then reload and/or upgrade the OS on the phone. Yours appears to be corrupt so you would need to use this method or use an MFI Multiloader but that is your next option if this doesn't fix it for you.....

You are experiencing a fatal error with the java platform or one of the.cod files have corrupted. You will need to reinstall your blackberrys software.

1. Connect the handheld to the desktop computer and start the Application Loader.
2. Re-install the BlackBerry Handheld software.

Try to reset, firstly by removing the battery, leaving it for 30 seconds and power on

Failing that ALT, RIGHT SHIFT and DELETE for a couple of seconds
