Question about Canon CanoScan N656U Flatbed Scanner
Have been using my N656U without problems on my Dell desktop.
Three years ago bought a Dell notebook and began using the desktop and scanner less and less.
Today decided to hook the N656U up to my notebook. No dice. When I went to load the softwarfe disk a msg indicated I needed to load Twain first in order to use the scanner.
Don't remenber any Twain, except that good ole boy, Mark
Appreciate any help in locating Twain.
I have a problem saying "Unable to open TWAIN server". How
can I get this resolved? Im' on XP system.

The download website for your scanner is here:
A TWAIN driver is simply a generic scanner software driver that your specific Canon software can hook into and use.
I recommend starting with this one and see if it installs the TWAIN driver you need:
"CanoScan Toolbox v2.2.3 for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP"

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
