SOURCE: recordings skip to Live TV
Actually when I contacted Dish, they offered to replace my unit and I'm glad to say it went very smoothly. Never did receive confirmation on what the problem might have been but I didn't even have the protection in place and they replaced it, no questions asked. I'm guessing they were aware of the issue whatever it was. I was afraid it might have had something to do with sitting the unit on top of some of my other stereo components.

Try unplugging the unit from the electrical outlet for about five minutes- much longer than required- and try it again. If this fails you will need a service technician to resolve the issue. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Sounds to me like your hard drive is full. Do you use the topup tv part of the box? If not, deselect all the topup tv channels. This will free up a significant amount of drive. Failing that, you'll have to delete some of your programs, sorry!
To deselect topup tv channels;
Go into the menu option, Customise Top Up TV Anytime, and de-activate all the selected channels

Are you still having problems with your receiver? Anytime you are not able to perform DVR functions, it is usually an indication of a hard drive problem. Are you getting an error message (maybe 024) when the functions are not working? Please let me know if you are still having problems and I would be happy to assist you.

If you are still experiencing problems with your 625 receiver performing live DVR functions, try unplugging the receiver for about 10 seconds and plugging back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and acquire satellite signal. After the picture returns, then try to pause. If it still doesn't work, then we may need to replace the receiver. I hope this helps.
