If the RCD is tripping then the appliance has an earth leakage fault. You should remove the plug from the power point and not use it until you get it repaired. This is a potentially dangerous fault, and the RCD is telling you it is faulty.

SOURCE: My Bosch Classixx 1200 washer causes the household RCD to trip

The first thing I would recommend u do is to remove the motor and check the carbons for wear, Their should be at least 3mm of carbon showing, any less then u shud replace.
The other possibility is a faulty heater element, u cud try it with the element disconnected, if it does not trip then the element is faulty.
Plz rate my solution.
thanks.

SOURCE: My bosch 1200 classixx express washing machine

Could be the heating element disconnect the wires to the element then tape them up of course make sure the plug is out before attempting any work, with the heater disconnected the machie may show another fault as not heating however should at least stop short circuit....

My VAX dual power when i turn it on..the circuit breaker tripping off...pls help me

A breaker trips if there is a fault. There are two sorts of breaker - the RCD or the Micro Circuit Breaker.

When the RCD trips it suggests a fault that is allowing current to leak to ground.

When an MCB trips it indicates the appliance is trying to consume too much current.

Either way the only way to find the fault is by dismantling the appliance and checking the circuitry with a multimeter.

Bosch diswasher, model Sms68m02AU trips circuit breaker

rcd units trip from the milliamps that are in a short
it trips the rcd to prevent electrocution and acts in nano seconds besides being a circuit breaker for excessive current
the trip can be from moisture allowing a current leakage to ground or some other simple operation
I suggest that you get in a qualified electrician / bosch service technician to find the reason for the problem rcd

Advice on RCD tripping

yes
an accredited electrician can test the circuits for insulation failure , vermin shorting across active / neutral/ earth points and the rcd itself
it is not a diy job

I have a Bosch Classixx slimline dishwasher. I completes most of the cylcle but trips out the electricsnear the end of the cycle - probably the drying cycle - any ideas Garry

Hello Garry,

I suspect the element in the water heater is either burning out or shorting to earth. If it's burning out, the increased resistance will cause an overload and trip the breaker or blow the fuse for that circuit. If it's shorting to earth, it may trip both the breaker and the RCD in your fuse box / consumer unit.

Next time it happens, check whether the RCD switch (assuming you have one) is in the 'OFF' position. Most breaker boxes will be fitted with an RCD which protects many, or all, of the individual circuits. It's easily identified by the presence of a 'TEST' button.

That's only going to be a clue to the likely cause of the fault though. You really need to do some testing of the element with an ammeter and/or multi-meter, if you have one. I can provide instructions for testing if you have the equipment and inclination.

Unfortunately, if it is the water heater, the cost of a replacement is about £100 for the part alone, for the SGS43C12. Water heaters for most other Bosch models are roughly the same price and some of the older models can be £130+. If you need to get someone in to fit it, you could be looking at a total bill of between £150-200. Considering the age of the SGS43C12 / Classixx, it may be time to consider replacing the dishwasher.

Obviously, I'm assuming it's the water heater as this is the most likely cause, but there are other possible faults. If you need any instructions on testing, etc, please confirm the correct model number as the SGS43C12 isn't a slimline model.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

Bosch Dishwasher classixx blows fuse when turned on

No don't hose it out. That will only make things worse. There are a good number of reasons why it may be blowing the breaker. You will need to meter out the different parts to check for a short. My guess from you description is that the softner unit has broken / leaked and gone into the main pump. You will need to replace both if thats the case.
