I have a Samsung front loader dry that's shows a grid on it clean out the lint thing on the dryer and the one leading outside still not drying my clothes

It sounds like your heating element in your dryer has burnt out. You can purchase and aftermarket one from an appliance repair place and fix it yourself. You should save around $250. If the cost of the element is too high, then purchase a new dryer. They are relatively inexpensive.

Our Maytag Centennial Electric dryer is not cycling in auto dry mode but will in timer mode. Any thoughts?

There is a sensor that the clothes have to touch when the drum spins. This sensor measures how wet the clothes are. If you don't have enough of a load in the dryer then the sensor wont detect the dryness. Or it could be a bad sensor or connection or main board.

Frigidaire Model FEZ831CAS3 insufficient heat?

Without looking at the dryer in person best I can suggest based on years of experience with this particular complaint, is that one of the 2 heating elements is burned out (yes, you can have one burned out while the other still works. If you have no experience in repairing dryers or other large electrical appliances, I would recommend finding appliance repair person locally who may do it for a reasonable cost for you, as usually need to disassemble the dryer to get behind the drum to access the heating elements.

Whirlpool Duet Steam is heating up to dry any clothes

Sounds like the heating matrix/element has failed, or some other internal component has failed. If you can return it under warranty, do so. Otherwise you'll have to pay an appliance repair engineer to repair it for you.

I have a Kenmore 70 top load dryer that is not heating. And the timer doesnt turn off anymore either. Both items seem to have malfunction at the same time. Help?

This is typical. If the heating element is no longer working, the unit doesnt know to turn off due to the clothes still being wet. However, the timer has absolutely nothing to do with the heating of the unit. If the timer doesnt turn off the unit even when the time is short (example: 10 minute timed dry), the timer has a different issue. If you have merely set the dryer to dry the clothes (not a "timed cycle" to dry) then the dryer will continue to run as I have stated before. The dryer will run until the clothes are dry. Now, its time to address the heating part. Your dryer heating element has gone bad. It can be replaced if you are somewhat handy. You can pick one up from your local appliance store and it has simple instructions. Please make sure that you disconnect the unit from its power source prior to attempting any repairs. Safety First. You can also call someone to replace it for you and it shouldnt be too costly. Good luck on either option.

Call sears and they can tell you normal cycle times according to your model. 1888.536.6673. Maybe argue with them to replace this unit since so many issues within 5 months.

G,day i have a electrolux dish washer model 302 that is not heating at all.where do i look for the heating element. Thanks

Hi Kanejake,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: you have a electrolux dish washer model 302 that is not heating at all.where do you look for the heating element?

First, check to see if the "air dry" button is on. It should not. The heating element is the blackish rail that runs around in the bottom of the d/w. I don't recomend this repair to homeowner. You might consider looking in the Repair Directory for a repairman. If the d/w has a few years on it you should compare the costs of repair verses replacement.
