Question about T-Mobile Sidekick ID Cellular Phone

Frustrated i just got a used sidekcik id and at first the my faves application was not on the phone. I called t-mobile and they sent me a text message saying my faves had been refreshed and it suddenly appeared on my phone. I turned my phone of then back on and the my faves application was gone again. does anyone know why this is happening? also when i try and dial certain numbers in my phonebook it rings once and makes this loud obnoxious buzzing noise. the person im calling recieves my call but when they answer they can only hear the buzzing too. I really like the sidekick id but im frustrated with these problems!

My daughter has a new ID and experienced the same issue. I talked with T-mo support about it and was told the following:

If you don't subscribe to a data service plan (we don't yet), then the Sidekick ID cannot talk to an internal T-Mo database that holds the config information, contacts, etc. for each Sidekick ID user. The T-mo people can 'push' the My Favs application to the phone manually, but the phone doesn't have enough non-volatile memory to the application permanently. If you have a data service plan, the application will be downloaded when needed, but without the data plan it 'goes away'.

Your my favs will still bill correctly, but you'll have to use the web site to modify your favs...

I hope they get a fix for the dependency on data services or else make a limited service free for ID users.

Ok you need to hit your bubble button and your favs will show up for good. it is the lower right button on your skid.

How to open my cellphone in faebook

What you need to do is contact your local service provider (e.g mine was Mobilicity) and then tell them that you're having trouble receiving a confirmation code from Facebook. They should be able to fix the problem, because I received my confirmation code right after.

(By the way, you can only use your cell phone number once, because you're only supposed to have one account, according to Facebook)

You could also use the calling option, and have Facebook call you to send you the verification code.

DON'T use your home phone number for these options, because if you need to verify your account again, they will automatically text you with the number you gave them and tell you to type in the confirmation code

Step 2Type your email address and Facebook password into the corresponding text-fields and click "Login" to sign-in to your Facebook account.

Only one mobile number is unable to text me and its the one I use the most,it can call but not text. I assume it has been barred but as I didn't do it I don't know how to undo it.

first go to message settings on your phone and check whether message center number is there or not if not get it by calling customer care and use it ......also check whether message is sent as text or not if not make it as text and try.

Text messages cannot be sent or received

hi there,
call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options

I'm with Talkmobile and they sent me the messages and applications to get MMS set up on my phone (LG KP 500) but I still can't use MMS messaging. I try to send a message and get an error message reading...

First you will need to get both the MMS settings and Internet settings sent to your mobile phone from customer services.

Once you have these you may need to activate the profiles. To do this do the following:

Menu > Messaging > Settings > Multimedia Message > Multi Msg Centre > Now select Talk Mobile - Ensure this is ticked.

I have no caller id on my text messages or incoming calls

This is normal. T-Mobile does this. Unless the person is in your contact list it only says the number. There is no solution, because that is not a problem. They did this on purpose, I do not know why. But this is how it is.

From your T-Mobile phone, dial 611 free of charge. You can also call T-Moble toll-free at 1-877-453-1304 from any phone.

Cannot receive internet and picture message

Ok, i had this exact problem too but it was really easy to use, if you have T-Mobile it is really easy, i called T Mobile and told them that my mms doesn't work so the lady was really nice and they just trasnfer you to the department that deals with phones that aren't originally a T Mobile branded phone and she sent me a text message. It says mms support, and she will tell you to select options on the message, then save all, and then when you go to messages on your phone then setting then multimedia messageing setting you can activate the thing she just sent you and thats it it works. It sounds a little confusing but its really easy the person will walk you threw it step by step, it literally takes about 5 minutes so i was really happy.

PS. make sure you are not calling customer care from your prada phone, make sure its from a different phone! Happy picture messaging!

Maybe you never activated the phone to receive txt messages. Call up sprint and activate incoming txt.

Contact T-Mobile and they will be able to give you the Text message centre number that is all you need to be able to send texts If you are in the UK the message centre number is +447958879879

Motorola v3 razor phone

The same thing is happening to mines. It's like the right arrow is permenantly pressed. when I open up my phone it goes straight to "IM account". and I've never used that. Razr's suck. I think its possible for someone to send you virus through text message tho because it didnt start happening until this guy sent me a text/media message this morning. I think thats the problem.
