Try cleaning the air filter then use card cleaner to spray out the idle adjustment ports, then remove the tank fuel line and replace the inline fuel filter and that should do the trick.

61 fires up then dies,seems to be good spark and gettin fuel

If the saw has good compression and spark (check them with proper gauges) check the fuel lines and fuel filter. If this all checks out, then the issue is probably the carburetor itself.

Chainsaw is getting gas getting spark carb is tight on head everything seems good just can't get it to fire.

Need to take your Carb apart and check the needle valve and screen. If the needle has a red tip, it needs a new one. check the Diaphram to see if it is stiff. If so replace also. Your saw will start right up.

What's your problem?I've got a k650 partner saw that was starting and running great, really great. It ran out of fuel, we filled it, it ran for another 5 min and then died out. It didn&

You need to check it is mechanicaly sound, a compression test will give you a good idea, anything under 110 psi and you have a problem with either piston/ring wear, or it has seized.

Saw will start. runs a little sluggish at first. then it will smooth out and rev high and run strong for a few minutes then gets sluggish again and dies. will not start again for 5 to 7 minutes minimum....

Being springtime, I'm thinking you may have had your saw sitting all winter with last years gas in it. If so, you'll need to clean the carburator and spark plug real good, then put fresh gas in it. Always remember to run your saw out of gas before putting it away. Gas only stays fresh for a few weeks and will foul up your sparkplug as well as plug up the inside of your carb when it gets stale.

Husky 51. Saw gets great spark. seems to be getting plenty of gas too. Fires out of the hole but when i tighten down the sparkplug it wont fire

I have a husk 350, someone owed me money this is what i got. fired only with gas in the carb, would not run at all just start and off. would not fire at all without doing that. I took the carb apart 3 times no luck. Well I I said I am going to take this thing apart and see how its made and then toss it. As I was taking it apart I notices that the head bolts were little lose. I tightened them down put it back together, and that was the problem. Now it starts first lick. Sometimes the head bolts vibrate lose. have found this problem in weed eaters too.

Husqvarna 51 died and wont restart

hi
if you have a good compression,a strong enough blue spark and carburetion for the fuel air mixture try priming the engine(put small amount of gas in the spark plug hole)then start the engine.If the engine runs only the gas you put inside the cilinder there is a carburetion problem to find and fix.
let me know regards savumihai71

Chain saw emitted sparks and now does not start.

Hi

When the engine get warm and die(I suppose)check the spark at the sparkplug.You can let the saw run until it ran out of gas and you will not distroy the engine.Change the sparkplug.

Generally, these saws are set at the factory and aren't supposed to be adjusted. If you can remember how far you turned each screw I would suggest you turn it back to where it was. Turning the screws clockwise leans out the mixture and although it would seem to make it run better warm, it is too lean to start properly. If the engine doesn't start at the factory setting you probably need to take the carb apart and clean it and put a new kit in it.
