but on all inline 4 cylinder engines that is at the crank pulley end.
no matter what car that engine is sitting in, RWD or FWD
see?
on the V 6 or 8s the same answer, on cylinder 1
but on V engine one cylinder is more front, that is always #1
bank to is the OTHER side on V6/8.

#1 is where the belts are.
where all pulleys are.
where the main crank pulley resides, no matter what car.

time to learn where cylinder 1 is.
after all if the PCM sets misfire to #1 as all will do , soon
you will need to know where #1 is, then.

I need to replace the 0xygen sensor on my 2004 Honda Civic ex .part PO134:02 SensorCKT Inactive (Bank 1 Sensor 1) need to find it.

cars have engines, and are different in most cars.
some cars have 10 engines. (land cruisers)
but most have like 3 .
not posting the engine or if in california , makes this hard.
so ill answer in geek

the bank 1 sensor is closest to #1 cylinder.
if you dont now where #1 is, then stated engine.
or post a photo.
or say how many cylinders you have.
the FSM covers this
as does alldata.com
the wires can be cut or melted, look at em.

my guess is where are the oxygen sensors?
answer 1 front and 1 rear of CAT.
where is bank 1?
well that is the bank that contains cylinder 1/
no engine options stated, or DTC errors.
Bank1 i there
Sensor 2 is rear.

Bank 1 burning to lean check engine light on flunked state emissions

It is a common problem, you will have to change bank 1, o2 sensor as it is covered in burnt oil and fuel telling the computer to run lean.
